WhatsApp finally makes it possible to log into one account on two phones, but for now, this feature is available to limited users.
In addition to extensive visual and design changes for Android users, the beta version of WhatsApp will also have new features. This feature allows you to use one WhatsApp account on two phones so that you can work with one WhatsApp account on all your devices. This issue has also been confirmed by the WABetaInfo website and will only be available for Android users at the moment; Even for initial tests.
One WhatsApp account in two phones, a simple but efficient feature
Let’s be honest. This will not be the first and last time that WhatsApp creates features that even the simplest and most mundane messengers have. While WhatsApp allows you to log in to your account on a second phone, Telegram has made it possible to access your account through different phones, computers, tablets, and even the web version from the very beginning. We are happy that this feature has been added to WhatsApp after years of waiting and requests by users, but unfortunately this feature is not new and this messenger is providing essential and minimal updates to its program.
You will not have a difficult task to activate your WhatsApp account on the second phone (just for testing). First, you need to install the beta version of WhatsApp on your second phone. Then open the program and tap on “Link a device” from the top menu. Now, on your main phone, go to Settings and then Linked Devices and prepare its camera to scan the QR code of the second mobile phone. After a short period of synchronization, all your chat history, calls and other information will be automatically exchanged between the two smartphones, even if your original phone is not connected to the Internet.
If you want to use WhatsApp on your second mobile phone independently, you will face problems. For example, you don’t have the possibility to manage the list of broadcasts and you can’t leave status through the second phone. Since this process is only implemented by the beta program, it is not surprising if we see such bugs and problems while working with it. This beta program is currently only available for Android users, but in the near future, iOS users will also be able to experience it on their iPhones. Also, WhatsApp plans to increase the possibility of logging into one account from two phones to four phones.
WhatsApp has not yet informed about how to save and encrypt the user’s messages and personal information during the exchange, and this issue should be completely demystified before the official and public release of this feature.
Finally, the fact that WhatsApp is constantly updating and adding new features is admirable and is considered a forward movement. However, it still has a long way to go before becoming the best messenger, and some of its users may migrate to other messengers such as Telegram.
