The difficulty of banks in paying marriage loans, especially in the field of introducing a guarantor, is an issue that most Iranian couples have been involved in. He insisted on obtaining documents in accordance with the relevant law and called for speeding up this matter.

However, field reports and announcements of marriage loan applicants to ISNA indicate that banks do not ask for a guarantee to pay this loan in accordance with the law, and in most cases, couples are asked for two official guarantors with a check or promissory note of 150 million.

Strange conditions of banks for guarantee

One marriage loan applicant says a bank has offered him two options for a $ 100 million marriage loan; To introduce an official guarantor with a salary of 10 million Tomans who will retire in another 10 years. Also, deliver a 100 million business license and promissory note signed by the licensee.

The second proposal of the bank to guarantee the loan is that the applicant introduces a retired guarantor with two documented houses with a salary of 10 million Tomans along with a salary deduction certificate, and this person rents one of his own houses and has a tracking code.

In addition, an Iranian youth describes the process of obtaining a guarantor to pay off a marriage loan in one of the banks as follows: The bank has asked him for two employee guarantors with two 150 million checks and a promissory note.

Also, another person complains that the bank asked him and his wife for 200 million promissory notes and a check for 150 million tomans for a 140 million marriage loan.

According to this report, obtaining two official guarantors or employees and a check or promissory note of 150 million Tomans is one of the most frequent herds of marriage loan applicants.

How much was the marriage loan paid?

These statements are made by the applicants of marriage loans, while according to the law, this year the marriage loan facility for each couple is equal to 70 million Tomans with a repayment period of 10 years. For eligible couples under the age of 25, increase it up to 100 million Tomans, and banks must accept only one of three credit ratings, ie a guarantor and a promissory note or a person’s share of the targeted subsidy account as a guarantee to guarantee this loan.

Of course, according to the latest statistics provided to ISNA by the Central Bank, since the beginning of this year, 769,839 marriage loan facilities worth more than 66,000 billion tomans have been paid to applicants.
