Was the suspension of Samand and Tiba production canceled?

According to the online economy report, quoted by Tasnim, Omid Qalibaf, the spokesman of the Ministry of Safety, said: Whether Tiba and Samand will be produced or not depends on the extent to which the two car manufacturers can resolve the recurring problems of the National Standards Organization.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Security, the National Standard Organization has stopped the production of these cars due to non-observance of some safety points. The obligations for these two cars have been fulfilled so far, and Iran Khodro and Saipa are currently negotiating with the National Standard Organization to fulfill the remaining obligations.

Qalibaf considered the condition of continuing the production of Samand and Tiba to eliminate their defects and said: Iran Khodro and Saipa can produce Samand and Tiba on the condition that they can get the satisfaction of the National Standard Organization.

He further added: In the opinion of the Ministry of Defense, due to the old platforms of these two cars, it is preferable to replace them with new models, but the regulation of the car market is also an important issue and this should happen in a short period of time.

As mentioned, some of the defects of Samand and Tiba were in the power transmission system, engine system, body, car color, steering system and lights.
