Washington does not support gas pipelines in the eastern Mediterranean

US Secretary of State Victoria Noland said on Thursday that her country would not support any gas pipeline projects in the eastern Mediterranean, IRNA reported quoting Anatoly.
“We do not have to wait 10 years and spend billions of dollars on these things, instead we have to pursue gas projects,” Nuland told the Greek newspaper Kathimerini.
In an interview with the Greek newspaper, the American official said: “Liquid gas and electricity should be used to accelerate the projects, and in this case, the projects in this region will be completed faster.”
Nuland called for the transfer of natural gas through the eastern Mediterranean in cooperation with Turkey, Greece, Egypt and Cyprus, as well as the Zionist regime.
During the ban on imports of oil and gas products from Russia, Western countries are looking for alternatives to the shortage of these resources in their country, which, of course, in most cases has disappointed the United States.
