Water shortage in Europe at the same time as black drought in the green continent

According to the report of the International Economic Group of Fars News Agency, quoted by the Financial Times, in the Obwalden region of Switzerland and at the foot of the Alps, the government has ordered the army of this country to supply water to this region to save livestock.
The springs in the Alps have dried up and the Swiss army is trying to use helicopters and helicopters to transport water to the upper regions in order to prevent livestock from dying due to thirst.
Sonia Saneviratne, professor of climate and earth at Zurich College, says: “We are not used to drought in Switzerland. We consider ourselves the owner of Europe’s water resources, but the sharp increase in temperature in the winter season and the reduction of water reserves have changed the situation.”
Water shortage and severe drought have affected a significant part of Europe from Portugal to England and Italy.
Scientists have named the very dry winter and the spring season with little rain, along with the sharp increase in heat, as the main reason for the drought.
Drought and high temperatures in Europe and even France have overshadowed everything and disrupted the lives of families, commercial activities, transportation, tourism, agriculture and livestock.
This incident has also caused forest fires in France, Portugal and other parts of Europe.
French Prime Minister Elisabeth Bourne yesterday set up a special disaster management unit to deal with the drought, announcing that the country was facing its worst drought in recent history.
