According to Moj News Agency, Ali Selajgeh, Vice President and Head of Environmental Protection Organization, in a meeting with the Mayor of Tehran and the accompanying delegation, which was held on the topic of reviewing the status of projects under construction in the Pardisan Nature Park, commended the environmental approach of Tehran Municipality in the period Javed said: There are many nodes in the city of Tehran that the faster these nodes are opened, many problems of this metropolis will be reduced, including traffic, fuel consumption and air pollution.
Referring to the location of Pardisan Nature Park, he said: This park has an area of 288 hectares and is located in the heart of Tehran. Therefore, it has a strategic position.
Referring to the 100% ownership of this park by the Environmental Protection Organization, the vice president signed a 15-year contract with Tehran Municipality in order to better maintain this complex.
Selajgeh further stated: The Pardisan Park complex has had a comprehensive plan for several decades and the ultimate goal of building this park was education and culturalization of the environment.
The head of the Environmental Protection Organization described the implementation of this master plan as a model of cooperation between this organization and Tehran Municipality and said: “We need a big credit for the full implementation of this master plan.”
He pointed out: What has received more attention in this collection so far is its recreational aspect and the main goals of the comprehensive plan have been neglected, while this plan has various scientific, educational, research, cultural and sports aspects.
In the continuation of this meeting, Hasan Akbari, Deputy Director of Natural Environment and Biodiversity of the Environmental Protection Organization, emphasized: Our country is among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of biodiversity, but unfortunately, the National Museum of Natural History and Biodiversity, which, in addition to its exhibition function, still lacks We don’t have research and educational functions up to acceptable standards.
He clarified: The National Museum of Natural History and Biodiversity has more than 100,000 scientific specimens and an exhibition of Iranian and world wildlife, plants, rocks, minerals, and fossils, and currently only about 1,000 specimens are displayed in the Pardisan Park temporary exhibition. will be
Akbari further asked the mayor of Tehran to assist and cooperate in providing the necessary funds for the implementation of the construction plan of the National Museum of Natural History and Biodiversity with an area of 2.5 hectares in the framework of the comprehensive plan of Pardisan Nature Park.

He considered the establishment of the National Museum of Natural History in Pardisan Park as an environmental identity for Tehran and the entire country, and from the Deputy of Natural Environment and Biodiversity of the Environmental Protection Organization to the details of the development plan of this museum, he gave it to Tehran Municipality to study. and checking it, to continue working to reach the final conclusion.
