We consider the home show network as an opportunity, not a threat
The vice-chairman of the Cultural Commission of the House of Islamic Council emphasized that we consider this home television network as an opportunity and not a threat, and said: We must accept that broadcasting alone cannot meet all needs. On the other hand, we do not do anything to question the authority of radio and television.
Charso Press: Gholamreza Montazeri, in an interview with ISNA, in response to a question about the request of the head of the Broadcasting Organization to the President regarding the blocking of the Internet domain services of one of the Internet platforms for home TV shows and the suspected intention of the Broadcasting Corporation to eliminate the diversity of its works and competitors, stated: Recently, there have been differences of opinion. There was a dispute between the Senior Ministry and Radio and Television about the management of these platforms, which needs to be handled with transparency by the parties. Also, I don’t know what the intentions and motivations of the Broadcasting Directorate are, but my suggestion is that the Broadcasting Directorate should also announce the frameworks and policies in a transparent manner.
He said about the importance of the home television network, stressing that we consider these networks an opportunity and not a threat: If there is a difference of opinion about the activity of this network, the parties to the dispute should talk to each other.
The Vice-Chairman of the Cultural Commission of the Majlis stated that “the home television network should be strengthened by observing the frameworks approved by the law”, and emphasized: We must accept that radio and television alone cannot meet all needs; On the other hand, we do not do anything to question the authority of Sedav-Sima, because this organization is considered the most important media network in the country.
