Reza Abu-Fazli, the director of “Cold Fire”, told Mehr reporter about his concern about making this series: “Since 2009, most of the series I have worked on have had social and religious themes.” My first condition for making a series is to find a good script, and since this series had social, family and religious issues and had different stories in its heart, that’s why it was attractive to me. I liked the initial design of this series, and this series was ready for production after a year and a half of working on the script by friends and the rewriting team.

He said about the changes in the final script of this series: The result was almost the same script that we had in mind at the time of writing. Sometimes it needed to be rewritten, and Mohsen Sartipi and his wife, Nazanin Farkhlo, presented the initial draft of the series, and we worked for about 7-8 months, and 30 episodes were written and rewritten. After some time, we decided to breathe new life into the script with the arrival of a new team, Nader Burhanimarand and Mehdi Mirbagheri joined us and finally we started filming.

We did not want to have bad people

This director also said about the characters in the story: We tried not to have a bad guy who plays a negative role and we tried to make the characters tangible and not one-dimensional. For example, Saeed’s character in the series is a person who has negative streaks under the circumstances of his life and work, and because of his problems, he deviates from the main path of life, and he is not a bad person by nature. On the other hand, it’s not like the positive characters in the movie don’t have mistakes; In the course of the story, all the characters are tangible and believable.

Abu Fazli stated that the quality supervisor of the series informed us every night if there were any corrections and we corrected them, he said: In general, the script was what was approved and every talk and opinion of friends in Sima Film and the film and series group There was a second channel, we collected it before production and included it in the script, and if there was a change in the script, it was in terms of execution and production, which we coordinated with the writer’s friends and the quality supervisor.

He also said about the selection of actors for this series: Most of the friends who are in “Cold Fire” are those with whom I had previous work experience before this series. Of course, in the beginning, we considered some other actors and they were supposed to be with us, but due to the Corona situation, we could not cooperate with them. The current actors of the series were the same actors that we had chosen from the beginning.

The main theme of the series is the family, then orphans, young people, work and love

This director said about the topic of the “Cold Fire” series: In this series, the topic of family was more important to me than anything else. In fact, the main issue was the issue of reaching out to an orphan’s property, which is one of the major sins in our religion. In the lower layers of this series, we put the issue of youth, work and love so that the series has its charm. In this way, we used the opinions of relevant experts and consultants, and I hope the results were favorable.

Stating that the production of this work was done in the conditions of Corona, Abu Fazli said: We had a team of 50 people gather together, the working conditions were very difficult because if one person fell ill, the others would also fall ill. But apart from these issues, the group members had positive energy, and if it wasn’t for this empathy, this work would have had to be stopped many times, however, fortunately, their good energy made the work go its way and be finished at the same time. For this reason, I am grateful for the support of the producer, director of the TV series and film group, and other friends who helped to keep the work going.

In the end, he said about the feedback of the series: So far, the feedback has been good, the opinions that people have sent to the public relations of the network, as well as the opinions of colleagues, critics and officials of the network have been positive about this series, and we are satisfied with the result. I tried to make the work based on the medium of TV and look at framing and decoupage from this point of view. I tried not to skip the plan and sequence easily and finish them with my heart and soul.
