Miyad Salehi said in an interview with Fars news agency’s economic reporter: Advance sales of Nowruz train tickets will begin on Saturday, March 13.

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development explained: From Saturday March 13, advance sales of Nowruz train tickets for all routes except for the holy Mashhad route will begin.

He added: From Sunday, March 14, the pre-sale of the routes leading to Mashhad, except for the Tehran-Mashhad route and vice versa, will begin.

The CEO of the railway added: From Monday, March 15, Nowruz train tickets will be sold on the Tehran-Mashhad-Arazeh route and vice versa.

* Online and face-to-face sales hours for Nowruz train tickets

Salehi stated: The sale of tickets in person and going to the agency will start at 8:00 a.m. on the mentioned days, and the online sale of train tickets will be done from 2:00 p.m. on the said days and will continue on the following days until the capacity is reached.

* The price of train tickets will not increase for Nowruz

The CEO of the railway company stated: The price of train tickets will not increase for Nowruz 1402.

* 10% increase in train capacity compared to Nowruz 2018

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development stated: We have planned to have a 10% increase in trains for Nowruz 1402 compared to Nowruz 1398 (before Corona).

* 20% reduction in train delays

Salehi stated: In 11 months of 1401 compared to 11 months of 1400, the amount of train delays has decreased by 20%, and we hope that this figure will continue in March of this year and April 1402.

The CEO of the railway company said: In the 11 months of this year, compared to the 11 months of 1400, a 42 percent growth in rail passenger movement was achieved.
