In his new tweet, Musk noted that the companies have had “promising conversations” and noted that Apple’s iPhone team is “incredibly smart.” However, it is not clear whether the negotiations between Apple and Elon Musk are continuing or not.
Apple in the Far Out ceremony officially from the series of phones iPhone 14 It revealed that they have improved in areas such as the camera. However, one of the biggest changes in the new iPhone generation is the addition of satellite connectivity. Elon Musk’s tweet about cooperation with Apple
At CEO of SpaceX’s tweet Come:
“We have had promising discussions with Apple about Starlink connectivity. The iPhone team is incredibly smart.
Certainly the space-to-phone connection would work best if the phone’s software and hardware adapted to Starlink’s space signals instead of just simulating cell towers.”
If you’re not that familiar, Starlink is the satellite internet project run by SpaceX. Ahead of the iPhone 14 announcement, SpaceX and T-Mobile announced a partnership in which the carrier hopes to add its mid-band PCS spectrum to Starlink V2 satellites launching next year. This feature allows T-Mobile customers to connect directly to Starlink satellites when mobile network or Wi-Fi is not available.

The two companies’ joint apps won’t launch until the end of next year, and also differ from Apple’s feature in that it allows consumers to communicate. The Cupertino giant said on Wednesday that the satellite connection of the iPhone 14 is intended only for sending emergency messages, and Apple called Emergency SOS has chosen for it.
Another notable point is that Apple announced that it will spend $450 million from its advanced manufacturing fund to develop satellite infrastructure. Although Globalstar will receive the majority of this funding, there are obviously other plans for it.
Despite these conditions, it remains to be seen whether we will see cooperation between Elon Musk’s space company and Apple in the future.
