We have killed for this series, appreciate it more!

Charso Press: Laleh Eskandari – actress – complains about the broadcast time and the lack of necessary advertisements for “Fire and Wind” and says: It’s as if television doesn’t respect even its own product, which it has worked hard for for years, if it doesn’t want our work to be seen.
Eskandari, who is present on the TV screen these nights with the broadcast of the mentioned series on Se Sima channel, in addition to complaining about the way the series is broadcast and advertised, he talks about his different role in this historical series, the difficulties of making the series and the appeal of “Fire and Wind” to his special audience. did
The actor first started his speech by changing the name of the series in the last moments close to the broadcast and said: changing the name at the last moment was not a good thing, because it confused the audience’s mentality. Since 1998, when the production of the project started with the name “Serbron Festival”, it was introduced with the same name until 1401, but unfortunately, the managers suddenly decided to change the name. On the other hand, this collection was not really an occasion and it was not symmetrical with Ramadan and Nowruz. TV productions have decreased over the past few years, especially now, and that’s why they put this series for Nowruz broadcast. Another point is that they suddenly postponed the broadcast of the series from Nowruz to March 26, 1401, and it was really surprising.
We expected support from TV
At the same time, Eskandari criticized the low advertising of the “Fire and Wind” series and continued: very limited advertising and the change of time again caused a lot of damage. One really thinks that maybe the television itself does not want this series to be seen, otherwise it would not behave like this for a series that it has worked hard for for years. In the past decade, we did not have much production in the historical field, and our expectation from television is that it would at least support this series as a painstaking historical series. We have had popular productions for the past eight years, instead of changing its policies based on this competition, it is making more mistakes day by day than in the past.
He said: “Personally, as an artist, I am very dissatisfied with the amount of advertising in the series.” Even the press itself did nothing for our series; While for other series that I won’t name, they advertise so much that it doesn’t count. In my opinion, it is a weakness of the TV itself and maybe it does not want to see this series.
Mr. Mubarakeh gave his life for a series that…
The actor of the “Fire and Wind” series addressed the TV managers and stated: I don’t know what their friends’ politics are. If you (TV executives) are going to have a healthy competition with the platforms, this is not the way. Even the product that you produced yourself and worked hard for, this happened to him. The death of Mr. Mubarake alone was not a small event in this project. He was one of the pioneers of our country’s art that we lost because of this collection. In a situation where Corona had become severe and every time we went backstage, there might be no return, this series was produced, but now that it has been aired, it went on the air so indifferently, irregularly and without advertisements that it is strange.
He also emphasized: Now is the era of advertising and in order for something to be seen, it needs advertising. I don’t know on what decision this was done. At the same time as the “Fire and Bad” series, several good series are being aired on the home television network, and the fact is that this work is an acceptable and valid work in its own medium, and there is a thought behind it; because it portrays history and introduces a part of Iranian society and ethnic groups that may have really been completely forgotten; Of course, it goes without saying that the younger generation may not appreciate seeing such works, but anyway, our work has a special audience.
Bibi Ketayoun from Lale Eskandari’s point of view
The character actress Bibi Ketayoun then mentioned her role in the series “Fire and Wind” and explained: Bibi Ketayoun’s role is the same powerful Iranian woman that we see even in our ancient stories. A role that is related to the Qajar period and more than 100 years have passed from our story, and this event itself shows that maybe we have such a role in our families. In the character of Bibi Ketayun, what attracted me and I was reading the script were Ketayun’s characteristics. As an actor myself, I always tried to accept roles over the years that would have an impact, remain in memories, and at the end, the audience would not forget the actor’s role. In my opinion, Ketayun has the characteristics that we even see that he sees, diagnoses and guides many events more than Bahadur Khan. Even when his wife doesn’t listen to him, we see that it doesn’t have good results for him.
At the same time, the actor noted: “Fire and Wind” has the potential to last. Of course, as an actor, I strongly believe in the rhythm of the work, and I think the rhythm of the series should have been a bit faster, but regardless, it still has the potential to last if it was aired in better conditions or aired with better advertisements.
Eskandari reminded: “Fire and Wind” has 58 episodes and I think that more than twenty-five episodes have been aired so far and one third of them have been finished. The further we go, the more attractive it becomes, and I think it has found its audience during this time; Especially after Nowruz days when the holidays are over.
Corona difficulties and love for the people of the country
The actor of the series “Love Exercise”, “In the Eye of the Wind”, “Years of Snow and Violet”, “Red Soil”, “Restless” and “Secret Government” continues to talk about people’s view of artists and cinema and television in the current situation. He pointed and said: All of us artists work for the people. If you read my last post, you will see that I wrote that an artist belongs to the people and will stand for his people until the end of his life, but Mr. Mobarake really lost his life for his work and for the people. What is more bitter than that is that this happened in the last session of Mr. Mubarake’s presence in our series and he got infected with Corona. I myself was infected at that time and I remember asking the actors’ association and saying how many more people do we have to lose?! I begged them that the Ministry of Health should announce to the projects to stop work so that the situation subsides and the statistics go down because the producers did not accept. The answer that one of the managers gave me was very interesting and it was that “people need entertainment during quarantine days and theatrical productions should not be stopped”. I said these words to say that we all go to war, work hard and die for the people of our country.
Following this discussion, Eskandari emphasized: Some people are guarded against TV. That is, if our same series had been broadcast on platforms, it would probably have been better received and people would not have been wary of it at all. Some people who come to me ask with surprise, do you also work with TV? This is despite the fact that I have been working with television for many years and it is not my first time. Television is the same television that once had a high viewership, and unfortunately, its own wrong policies have brought it to this stage that many have distanced themselves from it.
Television homogenizes instead of progressing
The actor then criticized Satra’s supervision of the projects of the home show network, and continued his speech as follows: The work of the competition reached the point where they came to create Satra; Instead of taking themselves to a closer competition, they said they should come under our umbrella and follow us. Television should pathologize its productions, why it has faced a drop in audience, but instead of pathology, television wants to take everyone under its umbrella and produce according to its own standards.
He clarified: It is interesting that the directors say that the “Fire and Wind” series has done a good job, everyone is satisfied, so what are the broadcasting conditions you have set for it? If it’s good and you think it can compete with another historical work on the platform, for example with “Neighbors”, then why don’t you follow its rules and hurt your own work. You don’t respect even the time you set yourself and have changed it many times. We have devoted two years of our lives to this project. Unfortunately, one of the characteristics of our managers is that they don’t appreciate what they have.
At the same time, Eskandari mentioned the feedback of the “Fire and Bad” series and said: “Fortunately, we have received good feedback from our series so far.” Our work is not popular to say that everyone likes it. “Fire and Wind” is a heavy historical work that has a specific audience, but I think that if the viewer finds himself, they will follow the work until the end. It was my first time to act in a non-urban format. My characters were always historical, urban and up-to-date, but this time I appeared in the role of a nomadic lady who belonged to 100 years ago and it was very difficult for me. I was worried that the audience would accept me and this acceptance was very important to me, fortunately the feedback was good.
Bibi Kathy’s challenges
He answered that the role of Bibi Ketayun was a challenge for you? He noted: The biggest challenge was in the performance of the role; Because I had to act in such a way that the audience would believe me. It was very important for me to be accepted as an old woman with those characteristics so that I don’t become artificial and that my acting fits into the hearts of the audience and comes to the role. The experience we had in the “Ancient Land” and the fate that came to the series unconsciously led Atash and Bad to the point of not introducing a specific tribe or tribe at all and not having an accent. These incidents made our work much more difficult because the accent helps a lot of times, but we didn’t have that either. In addition, the work was made in very difficult conditions. We spent two years on the northern roads in the mountains. We worked from 50 degrees above zero to minus 20 degrees. In snow, cold and heat. The agents behind the scenes really had a hard time.
At the end of her talk, Laleh Eskandari announced about her new proposals for TV work: In June 1401, I watched the series “Mahramane” with Mr. Mahmoud Moazzami, which is about Corona. The shooting is done and the overseas part is left, which I think will be done soon. Other works have been suggested, but I did not accept it at the moment and preferred to see the results of the works I did to see what the situation will be in the future. Last year was a difficult year. Inshallah, the new year promises good things for everyone and people are doing well.
