Welcoming students to the Archaeological Museum of Izeh


Sadegh Sheikhi, Director of Izeh Archaeological Museum, on Wednesday, April 15, 1401, warmly welcomed the students and their parents to visit the Archaeological Museum of Khuzestan. “Izeh city and the announcement of the new color scheme, students and eager children visited the museum.”

While appreciating the efforts of the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khuzestan, Ayapir Cultural Heritage Center, Izeh Municipality and Izeh City Council in creating suitable conditions for visiting the museum during the Corona era, he said: “The past has been done by schools and students. We hope to see students and the scientific community visit the Izeh Archaeological Museum soon.”

“The Izeh Archaeological Museum is open to the public and tourists every day from 7:30 to 17:00,” Sheikhi noted.

The Izeh Archaeological Museum was inaugurated on January 17, 2017 in the historical city of Izeh in the presence of national and provincial officials. The total area of ​​the museum is 3700 square meters and its exhibition space is one thousand square meters and has been created on one floor. This museum has seven halls including historical monuments and objects from the Neolithic period about 40,000 years ago to the contemporary era and is considered as the largest museum in the southwest of the country due to its layout design and number of existing historical monuments. Izeh Archaeological Museum is located in the premises of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Izeh city (former building of Jihad Keshavarzi) on Shahid Motahari Street.
