According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Wall Street Journal revealed that immediately after the assassination of the martyr General Qassem Soleimani in early 2020, the United States had tightened its security measures around federal buildings due to fear of retaliation.

This newspaper quoted former and current American officials and wrote that the state of security alert in the United States was kept secret after the assassination of Martyr Soleimani and was called “Flexible Operation”.

According to US officials, the operation included preparing to repel cyber attacks and alerting the Coast Guard and Border Guard to counter any threat of retaliation.

According to this newspaper, this operation shows that the fear of Iran’s response is not only limited to the assassination of American officials, but also includes hitting the interests of the American government.

Martyr Lieutenant General Hajj Qassem Soleimani was martyred on January 3, 2020 in an American airstrike near Baghdad International Airport.
