What are Khuzestan’s plans for the 15th International Tourism Exhibition?
According to Aria Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khuzestan, Peyman Nabhani stated on Thursday, February 28, 2009: “It deviates from the main path and goal. This year, the exhibition will be held with a new approach compared to previous years.”
Referring to the specialized focus of the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and the briefing sessions held on this year’s exhibition, he said: “Based on the specialized approach of the Deputy Minister of Tourism, “Coordinated with the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts and evaluated, these data should be presented in a package.”
The head of the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Khuzestan added: “Let’s show their visible and hidden angles, such as rail tourism.”
“During the meetings and visits with the CEO of the Southern Railway, it was suggested that the railway tourism capacities and railway stations that are currently unused be provided in the form of an investment package,” he continued.
Nabhani said: “Regarding the projects on the riverbed, we have approved 14 projects with the provincial water and electricity organization, which will soon receive the necessary permits in the form of catering, accommodation, welfare and recreation around the rivers and behind the dam lakes. “Capacities will be approximately 30 to 40 percent more than the previous tourism capacities of Khuzestan province.”
He stated: “In the ports section, studies have been conducted by the General Directorate of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Khuzestan province regarding tourism wharves. “And Khuzestan handicrafts can promise prosperity in the tourism and cruise sector.”
The head of the tourism department of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Khuzestan added: “In the field of agricultural tourism, considering that this province has a large holding company for sugarcane development and ancillary industries and its eight agro-industrial companies are distributed in seven cities, we have agreements with managers. “Until these units become tourism units after receiving a license, which will make Khuzestan province the largest owner of tourism farms in the country.”
Referring to this year’s approach and institutionalizing tourism in the household basket, he said: “Given that one of the most basic things that needs to be done is to institutionalize tourism in the household basket, in the field of education for children and basic age groups, measures “The basics have been done so far, and one of our main programs at this year’s fair will be a symbolic tour of the seven main tourist destinations for children visiting the fair.”
The 15th International Exhibition of Tourism and Related Industries of Tehran will be held from the 9th to the 12th of Bahman 1400 in the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions.
