The 30th episode of “Mirror of Nations” with a duration of 30 minutes introduces the rituals of the people of different cities of Iran on the day of Eid al-Fitr.
This is how we begin the 30th and last day of the “Mirror of Nations” journey:
“Thank God, thank God thousands and thousands of times that the end of my 30-day journey in the heart of people’s culture and customs in the month of Ramadan was mixed with the fragrance of Eid al-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr has come and the month of Ramadan has ended / Peace be upon you fellow travelers on the journey of fasting / Your fasts are all accepted by God / Your happy days are a manifestation of continuous success.
On the 30th day of the trip, we travel to Eidgah, where “Pirbaba” is from Kazerun, “Marjan” is from Gilan, “Mohammed” is from Bojnord, “Ms. and Mr. Amiri” are from Shiraz, “Pirmohammed” is from Birjand, “Amir” is from Bushehr, “Saleh” from Omidiyeh, “Mr. Sarafi” from Bushehr, “Haj Yunus” from Isfahan, “Ms. Dr. Imani” from Yazd, “Haj Agha Rahim” from Qom, “Haj Agha Rizvani” from Sawadkoh, “Kak Sediq” from Kurdistan “Adash” from Bandar Turkman, “Ali” from Urmia, “Allahdad” from Sistan and Baluchistan, “Mesh Qorboun” from Shahrekord and “Ismail” from Tehran are also present there.

Mrs. Dr. Imani says that cooking the ash of Hazrat Abulfazl al-Abbas and distributing it among the people in the morning of Eid al-Fitr is one of the customs of the people of Yazd.
“Kak Sediq” also says that people in Sanandaj distribute Nazri as much as they can in the morning of Eid al-Fitr.
“Aunt Talaat” says about the people’s Eid al-Fitr ceremony in Tabriz that the elders immediately look at the face of a child after seeing the halal of the month of Shawwal and after that they send blessings.
“Mesh Qorboun” says that the women of Shahrekurd distribute kakoli breads among the worshipers in the morning of Eid al-Fitr.
According to the narrator, in Kerman and on the day of Eid al-Fitr, after the prayer, they go to visit families who have recently lost a loved one, and visiting the graves is one of the other rituals of Kermanis on this day.
“Amir” says that in Bushehr, during Eid al-Fitr, they put backs all around the room and sprinkle water and rose water everywhere. The Bushharis call the men’s reception room “the meeting house” and the ladies’ reception room “the living room” and on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, they decorate these rooms with various traditional food tables.
In the following, the narrator explains to us about the custom of the people of Shirinsu of Hamedan during Eid al-Fitr. In Shirinsu, the first person who sees the Shawwal crescent shows it to the rest and everyone sends blessings. No one goes to a party on the night of Eid al-Fitr because they believe that the owner of the house is responsible for Zakat al-Fitr. On the day of Eid al-Fitr, after breakfast, the lady of the family puts a dish full of wheat on the table and everyone puts their hands on it, which is called “Albasma” in the local language, which is the share of the poor.
On the day of Eid al-Fitr in Shirinsu, a ceremony called “Qara Bairam” is held in the neighborhood mosque for those who passed away before the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
In Masal Gilan, on the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, families do not go out of the house to perform the custom of abandoning the fitriyeh. The masali lady pours a bowl of rice into a tray for each family member, and all the family members touch that rice and pray and ask God to give sustenance to their lives, and this rice is ultimately the share of the poor.
According to “Mesh Qorboon”, in Shahrekord, they fast 2 or 3 days after Eid al-Fitr to show their interest in Ramadan.
“Marjan” also says that in Talash, it is customary to cook several local halwas on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, such as “Shakharhalwasi”, “Doshab halwasi”, “Honey halwa” and “Oil halwa”.
According to “Adash”, Turkmen women bake local bread for Eid al-Fitr. It is customary that the little girl of the family wears new clothes on the day of Eid al-Fitr and takes some of these local breads to relatives and neighbors’ houses and congratulates her on Eid.
“Kak Siddique” says that in Mahabad, the day of Eid-ul-Fitr is considered the day of saying goodbye to the month of Ramadan. The custom of seeing and visiting the Mahabadis is not just one day, but 3 days.
According to Ravi, in Ashnakhor Khomein, if the month of Ramadan is 29 days, they say “30 a kam” and if it is 30 days, they say “30 pareh”. On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, the people of Goya who are familiar with Allahu Akbar go to Mosliabadi, which is on the top of the hill of Haft Dukhtar overlooking the town, and pray.
“Khanem Amiri” also says that in Borujerd, on the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, like the other nights of the month of Ramadan, even though they know that the moon has been sighted, they eat suhoor and after saying goodbye to the month of fasting, they say, “O dear and blessed month of God, why did you leave us, O I wish you would stay a little longer and make us happy, farewell good month, farewell month of mercy, farewell month of God’s party.
