First, the General Assembly and the election of the Board of Directors of Cinema House were supposed to be held on August 2nd, but only a few hours before the start of the assembly, a letter was sent from the Ministry of Guidance to Cinema House, in which it was emphasized that the candidates for the Board of Directors must be approved by this ministry. Therefore, even though the date of the election had been set and officially announced a long time ago and it was even said that the head of the cinema organization had introduced a representative of the organization to the cinema house to monitor the election in a letter, this planning was canceled and postponed to another time.

After this incident, the Board of Directors sent the names of Sanof candidates to the Ministry of Guidance for verification, among which it seems that Farhad Tawhidi was not approved, and although this matter was not announced in writing and officially, in the end, whatever it was, it led to Tawhidi’s withdrawal from was nominated in the election; As before, Majid Barzegar had to withdraw.

However, apart from the matter of confirming the qualifications, what brought the situation of Khana Cinema to the top of the news in recent days was the sudden resignation of the CEO of Khana Cinema, which was reported to the media on Thursday last week, and Mohammad Ali Najafi – the chairman of the board of directors of Khana Cinema – confirmed it by criticizing the news of this resignation. And he emphasized that Shahsawari’s resignation was not accepted by the board of directors until elections are held. However, Najafi himself resigned from the board of directors and its chairmanship on Friday evening (4th of Shahrivar).

Now, a few days before the general assembly and elections, a list of candidates has been distributed, which has been sent to the Ministry of Guidance to check their qualifications. In this list, the name of the producer candidate is not visible, while it is said that after the withdrawal of Manouchehr Mohammadi, who was in the previous list, Mohammad Mehdi Asgarpour has been replaced.
