The 19th FINAP event was held on Thursday, December 16, 1402 in Ivan Shams Hall. This was Finap’s first experience in holding an event with a cryptocurrency theme, which had a different atmosphere from other gatherings in this field in recent years.
The 19th finap consisted of 9 lectures and presentations, 2 discussion panels and a two-way conversation with Nasser Hakimi, the former vice president of new technologies of the Central Bank of Iran. The strength of the 19th FINAP, like the previous courses, were the speeches given by the country’s fintech ecosystem activists, this time regarding digital currencies, which contained new and attractive ideas for all those interested in this industry.
The first discussion panel was dedicated to examining the issue of private money and the role of digital currencies in the evolution of this form of money in the new era, which contained some thought-provoking parts, especially from the perspective of macroeconomic policy.
The second panel, which was held with the presence of Mojtaba Tawanger, Chairman of the Digital Economy Committee of the Parliament, Seyed Ali Rouhani, Deputy Minister of Economic Policy of the Ministry of Economy, representatives of Blockchain and Fintech Associations of Iran, as well as business owners active in the field of digital currency exchange, an interesting conversation about Legislation of this domain in the country during the past years and the way forward for the regulation of this sector.
The representative of the Ministry of Economy in this panel, although he admitted that the governing bodies have different opinions on the legislation of digital currencies, as a good ending to this discussion, he said that he believes that the right question is not governance or destruction in the digital currency industry, but the continuation of this field officially or Something like today and in an informal atmosphere.
