This failure occurred while the people of wrestling had predicted that the Iranian team could go on the podium in the absence of the Russians and win one of the first to third titles.
Of course, the failures of the youth team were not only related to getting results on the field, and the technical staff of this team also made a strange and unprecedented event in the weigh-in ceremony. So that two Iranian national team members did not reach the weigh-in due to the gross mistake of the technical staff in planning to attend the weigh-in ceremony and were eliminated at the very beginning!
Thus, Majid Turkan, as the head coach of the youth freestyle wrestling team, registered a big failure in his coaching career and was accompanied by many criticisms from the federation and wrestling people.

Calling it a tragedy that two of Iran’s junior national team members did not make the weight in the Asian competitions, Habibi added: “Let’s not forget that working in the basic age group is very important and crucial, and the future of the country’s wrestling depends on these young people.” Unfortunately, despite all these issues, we saw that the youth team with the presence of Majid Turkan not only did not perform well technically, but also did not make significant progress in terms of results.
In the end, he emphasized the need for luck and systematic planning in the youth team and said: surely, the youth team’s staff should be composed of experienced and capable people.
