The head of the supervision and legal commission of the Islamic Council of Yazd city said: the long process of obtaining a building permit in the municipality, the high costs of insurance and the engineering system are among the reasons that make people turn to unauthorized construction.
According to Tejarat News, Mohammad Mahdi Nikunjad pointed out that there was a discussion and exchange of opinions regarding the handling of unauthorized constructions in the meeting of this commission and stated: With careful monitoring of urban constructions, the number of cases that will be referred to the Article 100 Commission was determined. And comparing it with the number of minutes of meetings conducted by the municipal executive unit and checking the aerial images of each license plate in the last few years, unauthorized constructions should be identified and their activities should be stopped.
He added: Also, considering the people’s complaints regarding the fact that the cases of violation of some number plates are referred to the commission of article 100 and others are not referred to the commission despite the violation, it was decided that the relevant managers should seriously pursue the resolution of the issue for a fair investigation.
Nikunjad considered the use of modern technologies as well as aerial photographs to be one of the appropriate ways to verify or reject the violation and continued: The Information Technology Organization of the Municipality has aerial photos and images of the city every year, with a comparison of the current year and the past few years.
