He continued: Considering the lack of electricity in the country, a strong incentive should be created for the private sector to invest in this sector, certainly one of these incentives and actions is to provide various solutions for selling electricity.
Taheri added: The sale of electricity to the government or its competitive supply in the energy exchange can be an important advantage for private sector investment in this field, because it will create an incentive for producers and investors in the energy field.
Referring to the possibility of selling the surplus electricity of some industries in the energy exchange, he said: that is, the industries that have surplus consumption through saving or their profit is in supplying their electricity to other industries, can sell their surplus electricity at the energy market price. stock market
Taheri continued: If an industry can supply its electricity from the energy exchange instead of closing the factory, even at a higher price, it would be very good, because for many industries, buying slightly more expensive electricity is much more desirable than shutting down production.
The Chairman of the Parliament’s Industries and Mines Commission also considered the construction of a power plant as one of the solutions to supply the electricity deficit and said: In this context, it is very important to use the capacity of the private sector.
He emphasized: Supplying electricity to industries through the energy exchange will prevent heavy losses to production and industrial units caused by blackouts.
