What percentage of agricultural land did Ukraine lose?

Igor Grigoriev, director of the Kherson region’s agriculture department, said that following the military conflict with Russia and the loss of areas such as Donbass, Zaporozhye, and Kherson, the Ukrainian government had acquired 16 percent of arable land. Lost in this country.

He added that the Kherson region alone produced about 3 million tons of agricultural products, which, considering the volume of 60 to 70 million tons of production in the whole of Ukraine, was equivalent to 5% of the total production of this country. It is Zaporozhye. Another 3 to 4 percent was in the Donbass region. In total, these regions accounted for 13 to 16 percent of Ukraine’s total agricultural production, which I think is a huge loss for any economy.

The Ukrainian government, however, believes that it has lost 25 percent of its arable land due to the military conflict with Russia.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal announced on June 8 that 75% of arable land last year had been cultivated this year.

Of course, Ukraine’s problems in the field of agriculture do not end there, but in the spring the country also faced problems in exporting crops harvested in the previous crop year. The volume of these products is more than 23 million tons.

On the other hand, the agricultural sector of Ukraine is facing problems in providing fuel.
