Density selling under the pretext of providing financial resources is considered a method used during Qalibaf’s presidency, which caused the city of Tehran to turn into a painful disaster in terms of architecture and urban planning principles, an event that has its sinister effects on the citizens.

After Qalibaf, now Alireza Zakani, the current mayor of Tehran, has claimed that in one year of his work in Tehran municipality, density sales has decreased significantly. While the mayor of Tehran claims to reduce the density of sales, the published official statistics are inconsistent with his claim. It should be kept in mind that Zakani’s claim about reducing the density of sales is not his good intention in not doing city sales, but because of the high cost of construction materials and the corona pandemic, the construction statistics were reduced.
According to the statistical report, the number of building permits issued by the municipalities of the country in the winter of 1400 was about 39 thousand 923, of which 1 thousand 489 permits were issued by the Tehran Municipality, and the share of the number of building permits issued by the Tehran Municipality in the winter 1400 has reached the figure of 3.7% of all building permits in the country.
Meanwhile, in the winter of 2019, we have witnessed the issuance of 1,811 construction permits by Tehran Municipality, and the decrease in the number of construction permits in the winter of 1,400 compared to the figure of the previous year in the same season is undeniable.

It is interesting to know that in the winter of 1400, Tehran municipality has allowed the construction of 2.2 million square meters of land with a total area of 492 thousand square meters in the issued permits. We are witnessing this growth in loading permits and giving density while Mr. Mayor says on TV that God has blessed their income! And we have a question, do you respect the rights of citizens and the right to the city of God’s servants in the framework of the detailed plan with the building permits you issued and the loading permits you gave?
