What to do with celebrities who don’t think like us?

Fars News Agency – Department of Art and Media: These days, the news of the return of some celebrities to perform the program has been published in the national media, which has had different reactions. Some believe that considering the involvement of a number of celebrities in the sedition of last fall, it is fundamentally wrong to give a platform to all celebrities. But we should not forget that the media of the new era is a celebrity maker and there is no escaping the celebrity of actors and people who are constantly on the air. Perhaps what showed its emptiness in the country, especially in the recent sedition, was the irresponsibility and abandonment of the movement that, with the enemy’s propaganda image, thought that the work of the system was complete, and in order not to be left behind, it sacrificed its reputation for the need to show off and be seen. .
It is a misplaced expectation to expect authority in all matters from artistic or sports celebrities. Like other people, they should be questioned in their field of expertise. However, some people think that celebrities are omniscient. This view leads to the fact that some celebrities feel like a reference in all matters, and with the “omniscient” gesture, issue verbs or aphoristic sentences that cause trouble for themselves and their society; Just like an actress who issued a medical prescription for people’s health with a diploma.
But what to do with celebrities?
These people sometimes need to be seen more than other people. The media has also helped these people to accumulate wealth from their fame. The dominant media flow in the world and the platforms affected by them, in countries like ours, which do not have effective control rules and are in conflict with their nature, give a greater factor to breaking the norms. Celebrities have learned in this ecosystem that the more they break the norms, the more they get. Perhaps nowhere like Iran has experienced such abandonment in front of celebrities. Of course, last year’s bitter experience revived hopes for the end of this lawlessness.
Today’s like and follower tab is not only for movie and sports celebrities. In order not to be left out of this competition, some politicians distort the facts with various political and social motives. Seyyed Mohammad Khatami is an example of such people. In private gatherings, including in meetings with some revolutionary journalists, he denied the accusation of fraud in the 2008 elections, and when he was asked why he did not say these positions publicly, he said: “My supporters are from Hizbullah to dancers and They should not be disappointed with me.” Of course, the outcome of this thinking is also instructive. Today, neither the Hizbullahi nor the dancers accept him who says: Ta’iz my tasha and tazl my tasha.
But in the case of the return of celebrities, it seems that what is important is the performances and positions in the events. It is true that the past sedition created an opportunity for the irrational and anti-religious nature of some celebrities to be identified and they practically removed themselves from the social arena by their own hands, but regarding the celebrities who are created in the media after this and those who are against the interests of the people and The country has not taken action, the story is different.
Even if we do not agree with the cultural and social style of some of the figures whose names have been proposed for return, but the rationality of the Islamic Revolution recognizes the votes of different tastes of the people. What is important is to follow the principles. principles such as divine laws and the constitution.
For example, if a person takes a stand against the hijab against the divine law, he should not be allowed to appear in the media of the Islamic Republic. Or if he stands on the enemy’s side against the law and security of the country, he should never think of returning and using the country’s facilities. But there is no prohibition for someone who only has a different style and taste but respects the law.
Standing on principles (religion and law) on one hand and flexibility in methods and tolerance of different tastes under the law on the other hand are two principles that can be taken into consideration in a pluralistic society like Iran.
Of course, this does not negate the criticism of bad methods and tastes, which should also be used in their place; Condescension or tolerance should not be considered as approval, but this variety in the media will create an atmosphere that will bring recognition and growth of the audience.
