What was the reason for the statistical arrest of housing? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, according to the announcement of Ehsan Khandozi regarding the housing statistics, the inflation of assets, including housing, has decreased in the month of Shahrivar. Of course, this decrease is considered insignificant in comparison with the records recorded regarding the increase in housing prices.

Khandoozi said: since the beginning of 1402, inflation has been decreasing in the market of various assets, including the housing sector. Of course, a decrease in the inflation rate does not mean a decrease in prices. Rather, the rate of price growth has been promising. The average housing price has decreased by 5% during the summer (September compared to July) in Tehran. The economic spokesman of the government continued: Point-to-point inflation in September this year was 75.2%, which is 8.9% compared to point-to-point inflation in August. Khandozi said: monthly inflation was 2.8% in July, 0.7% in August and 1.7% in September.

The government is satisfied with its performance

For more than two years now, the officials of the 13th government have been claiming to reduce the inflation rate and even talking about a 20% reduction in inflation in the country, but the official statistics and figures also contradict these claims.

According to this report, the 13th government presents itself as successful in curbing inflation, as surveys show that the inflation rate in Iran has set new records. Perhaps one of the most important events that have occurred and led to the loss of household purchasing power can be considered the persistence of inflation above 35 and 40 percent in the last five years.

High inflation drains the purchasing power of Iranian households in a situation where, according to the calculations, 9 out of 10 tenths of Iran’s population need to receive subsidies and they receive cash subsidies from the government.

In this regard, everything announced by the economic authorities of the government is related to the fact that this government has succeeded in curbing inflation and has been able to organize the country’s economy. Raisi, the head of the 13th government, had promised not to tie the Iranian household table to inflation, but nevertheless, in these two years, the analysis of the Iranian table shows that no success has been achieved in this regard.

Last year, with the removal of the preferred currency, food inflation experienced a serious increase, and this year, strange records of housing price increases were recorded in the housing statistics. A look at the official statistics provided by the Iranian Statistics Center shows that in May of this year, the point-to-point inflation of residential apartments exceeded 120%, and the monthly housing inflation was equal to 13.8% this month.

Point-to-point inflation of apartment prices

This high inflation occurred in a situation where one of the most important slogans of the president during the presidential election period was dedicated to housing. He promised to build one million residential units in Iran every year, but in practice, after two years of the 13th government, such an event has not yet happened, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and even the first vice president, the informant, have expressed doubts about this promise.

One meter house is 80 million tomans, impossible

The statistics provided by the Iranian Statistics Center show that the price of one meter of residential unit in the cheapest area of Tehran, i.e. District 18, has exceeded 40 million tomans. Meanwhile, the highest amount paid to simple workers in the form of minimum wage is around eight million and five hundred thousand tomans. This difference shows the deep distance that people have with buying housing in Iran, and this provides the basis for the growth of the rental price.

The most expensive area of Tehran has also seen housing prices of 160 million tomans per square meter and the average housing price in Tehran has exceeded the strange figure of 80 million tomans.

In this way, you can see the reason for the statistics being locked up next to the announced numbers. It seems that Delt has preferred to remain statistically silent during the record-breaking period of housing prices, and when the wave of price increases has passed, it will announce the decrease in prices in the housing market by publishing statistics.

Whatever it is, even in the absence of statistics, people are aware of the rate of inflation and the price of the main item in the basket of Iranian households.
