Fars News Agency – Department of Art and Media: Political and historical figures have high potentials for making movies and television works, which are usually in the form of portrait films and narrate the ups and downs of the lives of important figures.

Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) is the founder of the Islamic Revolution and his ups and downs life has many possibilities to be depicted and despite his works in cinema and television, it has not yet been seen as it should and maybe.

The creation of these works, regardless of the artistic merits, can be popular with the public due to the public interest in the personality of Imam Khomeini (RA), and on the other hand, the artistic quality of such productions makes the name of its creators permanent in the history of the Islamic Revolution.

* From “Child of the Morning” to “Eleven Minutes and Thirty Seconds”

Among the works that have been made about Imam Khomeini (RA), the film “Child of the Morning” has directly addressed the issue of his life, and this film has not been shown to the public after more than a decade since its production.

This film, directed by Behrouz Afkhami, which was first screened at the 28th Fajr Film Festival, is a story about different stages of Imam Khomeini’s life, which, of course, is mostly focused on his childhood, and part of it is also about his arrest in He pays on June 15. The production and making of this film started in 2013 and it took about 7 years to be made, but due to the many technical problems that occurred during the making of this film, “Morning Son” never had the chance to be shown. In this movie, actors such as Hediha Tehrani, Mohammad Reza Sharifinia, Mohammad Ali Keshavarz, Atila Pesiani, Alika Abdul Razzaghi, Farhad Ghaemian and Abdul Reza Akbari played roles. Mohammad Reza Sharifinia played the role of Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini and Hedida Tehrani played the role of Imam’s nanny in this film, and Abdul Reza Akbari played the role of the middle-aged Imam.

* Telefilm “Eleven minutes and thirty seconds”

“Eleven Minutes and Thirty Seconds” is the story of a group of TV cameramen who go to Jamaran to record the message of Imam Khomeini (RA) after the first Iraqi attack on Iran and the bombing of Mehrabad airport, in order to record the Imam’s message and deliver it to radio and television news. Of course, in the meantime, things happen that are now the basis of the story of this film.

The idea of this story is based on a memory of Behrouz Afkhami, who was a member of the Imam’s photography team at the same time, and the reason for the name “eleven minutes and thirty seconds” also refers to the charging time of the camera’s batteries during that time. Behrouz Afkhami went to this mission along with his colleagues and his martyred friend Morteza Avini. In this telefilm, Amirhossein Ghasemi plays the role of Behrouz Afkhami.

Abdolreza Akbari appeared once in “Farzand Sobh” and another time in the telefilm “Eleven Minutes and Thirty Seconds”, both times in front of Behrouz Afkhami’s camera. He said about playing the role of Imam Khomeini (RA): “The joy of acting is that we find this happiness in our lifetime to perform such great and lasting roles. The more effective and lasting character these roles have, it is considered an acting privilege.

He added: The roles that were offered to me from the character of Hazrat Imam (RA) have both their own difficulty and convenience. Because since the beginning of the revolution, I grew up with Imam (RA). Although I could not see him closely, I followed his speech and behavior in the news and media. After I was invited to the movie “Morning Child”, there was an opportunity to provide me with his books. Most importantly, relatives, relatives and friends helped me a lot.

* The “Shah’s Riddle” series

The series “Mamai Shah” is one of the historical series directed by Mohammad Reza Varzi; This series depicts the life story of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi from the time he returned from Egypt until his death.

This collection is about the political, cultural, economic and social trends during the reign of Muhammad Reza Pahlavi. In some parts of this series, Imam Khomeini’s presence in the political currents of Iran during the Pahlavi period is also discussed, and one can learn about parts of Imam’s life in this series. The role of Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) was played by Shakarkhoda Gudarzi in this series.

Shekar Khoda Gudarzi said about his appearance in the series “The Mystery of the Shah” as an actor playing the role of Imam Khomeini (RA), “Anyway, I knew that this is not a normal role-playing and that it will probably be met with different opinions and reactions.” I had already prepared myself for reactions and feedback and I was not surprised. On the other hand, playing the role of historical figures is not an easy task, because the audience is familiar with them and we have to move forward everything based on historical facts.

For non-historical characters, it is possible to create a personality and expand the length and width of the role; But the game makes the task more difficult instead of the character of contemporary history whom the audience is already familiar with and has information about his personal and political life. About the character of Imam (RA), this sensitivity reaches its peak, so as an actor, I used all my power to play his role with great obsession and to be very close to reality.

* “Years of Incident” series

“Years of Incident” directed by Saeed Chari in 10 episodes of 45 minutes is a short cut from the first decade of the revolution and deals with various incidents including assassinations and bombings at the beginning of the revolution by the hypocrites until the death of the Imam. “Years of Incident” is the first series that was made about the direct communication of Hazrat Imam (RA) with children. More than 80% of the series “Years of Incident” is real and is based on the events that happened in the 60s.

The first chapter of this collection deals with the events of 1342 to 1357. The second chapter refers to the years 57 to 68 and the third chapter deals with the year 91 and the present time. The story of the series “Years of Incident” is about Ahmad Ali, a 10-year-old boy whose father disappeared during the conflicts of the early revolution. He lives in one of the villages of Iran and loves Imam (RA) passionately, and one of his wishes is to meet him closely. Parts of this series have also been added as stories.

He comes to Tehran at the invitation of Imam Khomeini, but due to the death of Imam Khomeini (RA), the meeting in Jamaran is not possible. Ahmad Ali became a nuclear scientist in the third season of the 1991 series and has an active presence in the front against western sanctions. According to the director of this series, the political issues of the country are not dealt with in this work, and the mystical issues and the relationship of Imam Khomeini (RA) with children are dealt with more.

The research and research resource of the series is also a book that contains all the handwritings of Imam Khomeini (RA) when he was answering the letters of children and people. In this series, the audience will encounter the face of Imam Khomeini (RA) in his old age. The interesting thing is that this role was first offered to Waliullah Momeni, the actor who played the role of Imam’s father in the series Aftab and Zemin, and even this actor did a make-up test, but the publication of the make-up test pictures caused negative reactions, and for this reason, an actor named Mohammad Azadi replaced him.

Mohammad Azadi, who plays the role of Imam Khomeini (RA) in this series, said: “In the beginning, I was the only producer of “Years of Incident” and I was supposed to play another role there, and even to choose the actor for the role of Imam Khomeini (RA), I faced many We did a make-up test of prominent movie actors, one of whom was “Waliullah Momeni”. “When we saw people’s comments and realized that it was not popular with the public, the director decided to change the actor, and suddenly the make-up was approved.”

Azadi has played Imam Khomeini (RA) in two different stages of his life. The film “Years of Incident” was related to the days before the death of Imam Khomeini (RA), and the makeup of the film “From the Cradle to the Moon” is related to his youth and the events of his arrest in June 1342.

* “Ruh Allah” series

The “Ruhullah” series, produced by Mohammad Reza Shafiei and directed by Rama Qavidel and Siamak Sarafat, went on the air on the eve of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) death and the Fajr decade in 1991 and 1992. This TV series is based on the life of Imam Khomeini (RA). Parts of the TV series Ruhollah depict the sadness of people after hearing the news of the passing away.

“Ruhullah” was commissioned by the television series group of Channel Two and based on a script by Saeed Nematullah, and actors such as Vala Shahiri, Shayan Jalali, Mehdi Faqih, Rahman Bagharian, Hamidreza Milad, Maryam Fakhr, Mehrdad Salimi, Narges Nazef, Safar Ali Kohi, Mehdi Naqdzadeh, Mohammad Mussari, Ashkan Sharifnejad, Mohammad Reza Morbi Dost, Mohammad Rashidi and Azizullah Bayat played roles in this series. * “Sun and Earth” series

The production of the series “Sun and Earth” began in the late 70’s on TV, and in the early 80’s, this series began to be broadcast on Do Sima. This series was based on a screenplay by Jalil Irfan Manesh and produced by Alireza Sajjadpour.

Before making this series, Shamkadari had also made a documentary titled “Revolution Narrative” about the life of Imam Khomeini (RA). This series begins the narration of the life of Imam Khomeini (RA) from the life of the Imam’s noble father, and by showing the Imam’s father’s struggles with the poets of the region, it reaches the stage of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) birth.

In this series, the birth of Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) was supposed to be first, and in the next steps, other stages of his life would be depicted, but the continuation of the series was never made and it only focused on Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) until he was six months old. The interesting thing to note is that the period mentioned in the series coincides with the Qajar era and the rule of Naser al-Din Shah, and due to the dominance of the Khans over different regions of Iran, there are many clashes between them and the people.

In this series, the late Valiullah Momeni played the role of Imam’s father. The main reason for choosing him for this role was his lesser-known face and his expressive ability to read texts and speeches. Hossein Ansari, the late Reza Saeedi, Bahman Dan, Laia Bastani, Soraya Soltani, Masha Allah Shahmoradizadeh, Baratullah Shibani, Gholamreza Arifnejad, the late Farhad Khanmohammadi, Majid Abdul Azimi and others were the actors of this series.

*Telefilm “Sobar”

Mojtaba Rai is another director who has gone to make a film-television work about Imam Khomeini (RA). This film was shown in front of the camera under the name of “Sanubar” and was later shown under the name of “Hard Year in Khomein” at the Fajr Film Festival in 1981, and then it was broadcast on TV with the same name in the form of a six-part series.

This work was supposed to be made and presented on the 100th anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) birth, but it was released in front of the camera with a delay of several years. Sanobar was produced by Mehdi Homayunfar and was a joint investment product of Arouj Film Institute and Yak Sima.

In this work, Rai deals with Imam’s adolescence and the life of this character between the ages of 13 and 16. A period that coincides with the beginning of the First World War in Iran, and despite Iran’s declaration of neutrality, our country is attacked by foreigners, and the Russians advance from the north of the country to Qazvin, and England continues its activities.

The events that are narrated in this series have a serious effect on the formation of Ruhollah’s personality. The production of the series started in 2010. The makers of the series first planned to make the series in Khomein, the real place where the events took place, but due to many geographical changes, it was not possible to film in this place, and for this reason, all the sets of the series were built in the Kohpayeh area near Isfahan, and the series was set in this area. He went in front of the camera.

Ahmed Bakshizadeh, Jafar Dehghan, Jahangir Almasi, Hossein Mahjoub, Mahosh Sabrkan and Mahmoud Paknit are some of its actors. Mahmoud Jafari (husband of the imam’s aunt), Paryosh Tadzih (the imam’s aunt), Zahra Saeedi (the imam’s mother) and Ali Yaqoubzadeh (the imam’s brother) are also among the other roles in this work. Also, playing the role of Imam Khomeini as a teenager was entrusted to a young actor who did not appear in any other drama after this movie.

The movie “Sanubar” was never shown in cinemas and only its television broadcast was able to introduce the audience to this work.
