WhatsApp can’t even cheat directly on Telegram!

Despite creating a new option to send images in original quality on WhatsApp, the messenger still compresses photos with a subtle cheat.

WhatsApp, Meta’s popular messaging platform, has received significant features and changes through updates over the past months. The continuous efforts of this platform to improve services can be seen in the new features released for iPhone and Android users.

In addition to that, WhatsApp is now developing several new features such as status update report, private newsletter and message editing for users. This platform recently unveiled a new feature for publishing photos without loss of quality, which is available for Android and iOS users and will soon be added to the desktop platform. However, contrary to what Whatsapp promises, the mentioned feature is somewhat deceptive!

WhatsApp fraud in sending images with original quality

Before the release of this feature, users complained about the problems related to the compression of photos by this application. However, according to WhatsApp, now in the new version it is possible to share images with the original resolution without quality loss. In order to solve the problem of reducing the quality of the photo, users can choose one of the three options “Auto”, “Best quality” and “Saving data”.

This feature gives users more control over how they share images, to choose whether to send photos to each other in a compressed or unaltered format. Also, the “auto” option automatically sends high-quality images after connecting the phone to the Wi-Fi network.

However, in a test conducted by the GizChina website, it seems that even after choosing the “best quality” option, the images will be compressed to some extent and the final output size will be reduced. Therefore, even if this feature is activated, unlike Telegram, you cannot expect to send images with original quality. Finally, we hope that the WhatsApp cheat is just an unintentional mistake and will be fixed in the next updates.
