WhatsApp groups have the ability to vote

The voting capability that Telegram had for years has now reached WhatsApp and is currently available in the beta version of this messenger.

The ability to create polls and vote in group chats is currently being reviewed and coded by its developers and will probably be usable in the next version of these messengers. Polls are a great way to engage with a large group of people and are very useful for deciding or finding out what your group of friends think about an idea.

Telegram is another popular messaging app that has been around for a long time, and WhatsApp is finally testing and implementing a voting feature for its users.

The WABetaInfo website first unveiled this feature, which was released for the iOS 2.22.6.70 beta. This feature is currently under development, so it is not currently available to public beta testers.

Voting capability is only available for WhatsApp groups, and responses from other users are encrypted. Basically, end-to-end encryption is a feature that WhatsApp has special uses for, and is also used for voting. This almost means that only people in the group can access the poll and its results.

As you can see in the screenshot above, a new user interface is created with a text field for your question that will come with two options: Create and Cancel. However, since this feature is still under development, it is not clear at this time whether there will be a limit to the number of responses or how long you can vote in a poll and what the maximum number of options will be.

As this feature is in beta, an official release date has not yet been announced. As usual, it is the beta testers who can get acquainted with how this feature works in the first phase, because WhatsApp must first make sure not to create any bugs and preliminary improvements that are prioritized before moving on to the final version.
