WhatsApp is likely to be equipped with an unknown Community feature

Based on information from an APK file, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Community. However, we still can not say for sure whether this feature is something like social media or a kind of chat room.

According to reports XDA Developers, Checking the WhatsApp beta APK file 2.21.21.6 announces the existence of a new social feature in WhatsApp. But we do not know exactly what this feature is or how it works. In part of the code of this file, it is said that the associations have an invitation link that allows others to join. Users can also receive links in QR code format.

In another part, it is written that all WhatsApp users can log in and become members of the forums by following the links. Associations, like groups, will have managers with special facilities. Forum moderators can allow the posting of messages that have been forwarded many times in the forum. They can change the description of the forum or make it possible for only administrators to post messages. Of course, it will also be possible to authorize users to make changes to the forums.

However, it is not yet clear how forums differentiate themselves from WhatsApp groups. XDA says the two features are likely to be available side by side. WhatsApp’s new feature is reminiscent of the channels feature in the Telegram app. Of course, according to the current descriptions, the functionality of the channels is a little different from the forums, but it is logical that WhatsApp also wants to have the ability to work with groups and provide the content publishing platform to users in a different way.

WhatsApp has been working hard on some new features lately. The company first introduced a new design for its messenger chat page and introduced the features of deleted messages in beta. Today, it became clear that the ability to stop and re-record voice messages comes to WhatsApp.
