From 14th of Ordibehesht, they must pay this interest and publish the results of the actions taken on the Cadal system.
To receive this profit, shareholders must register in the SJAM system. But what is the obligation of the accrued dividends of the shareholders in some listed companies that have not paid this amount through SJAM?
According to Gholamreza Abu Torabi, Deputy CEO of the Central Depository Company, in recent years, shareholders for various reasons, including lack of knowledge of dividends, low interest rate, lack of account number and unwillingness to go to the bank, the possibility of receiving profits They did not have themselves, which caused the deposited profits, which can be a significant amount, to remain in the companies’ accounts.
Some companies refuse to pay profits through Sajam
Following the promulgation of Budget Law 1401 and the Circular of the Stock Exchange and Securities Organization, all listed companies are required to pay dividends through SJAM. 6 months to 2 years will be disqualified.
However, some companies still refuse to pay profits through Sajam. Also, 22 companies are non-corporate, and the Stock Exchange and Securities Organization should follow up on changing the method of depositing profits of these companies as soon as possible.
On the other hand, under commercial law, listed companies have four months to hold an annual general meeting and eight months after the meeting to pay dividends to shareholders. But this has created a challenge for shareholders in recent years.
Also, according to Mohsen Dehnavi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, based on the announcements published by 93 companies applying for interest payments, so far this year, 26 companies have changed their interest payment methods compared to last year. However, there are still 22 companies that are unorganized, and the stock exchange organization should pursue a change in the method of depositing the profits of these companies as soon as possible.
According to him, unfortunately, companies with the symbols of Wesna, Varsharq and Sabasaz have delayed their profit-sharing schedule under the pretext of depositing profits from Sajam.
