When will the task of verifying the testimony of environmentalists be clarified?

According to the report of the online economy, quoted by ISNA, every year some environmentalists lose their lives in order to protect the country’s environment in dealing with illegal hunters. It was in the year 1400 that Ali Selajgeh – the head of the Environmental Protection Organization – announced that verifying the testimony of environmentalists is one of the priorities of this organization. For this purpose, meetings have been held with the Shahid Foundation.

The commander of the country’s environmental protection unit said about the martyrs of the environment: about 122 environmentalists were martyred and veterans in the field of environmental protection. Many steps have been taken to accept their cases by the Martyr Foundation and to verify the martyrdom of the deceased environmentalists, and so far 39 of them have met the necessary conditions and have been martyred in the Martyr Foundation.

He added: the case of other people who lost their lives in order to protect the environment is still open, and monthly meetings are held with the foundation’s admission deputy, and the outcome of these meetings is positive.

In the end, Mohabbate Khani emphasized that good things have happened in this field and the conditions are right, and said: two stages of high-level meetings centered on this issue were held with the presence of the head of the Martyr Foundation, the head of the Environmental Protection Organization, so that proper cooperation can take place. In the next one year, according to the type of loss of these loved ones and the directives of the Shahid Foundation, they will be martyred, and those who are not included in this directive will also have the title of environmental martyrs and will enjoy 70% of the conditions of martyrs certified in the Shahid Foundation.
