Alireza Moqithi, Director of Healthy Cities Programs of Health Vice-Chancellor Ministry of Health And Derman Sobhar Sobhar today in the meeting of Salem City of Maragheh said: There are 115 cities in the world in the list of safe cities, and Sahand city is the only registered city from Iran.

Alireza Moqeishi added: Maragheh old city is ready to register the most advanced healthy cities program as the second city in the country among the world’s healthy cities.

He added: In order to increase the health of the people and join the city of Maragheh among the world’s healthy cities, all the executive bodies and the people cooperate and participate.

According to Moqithi, the evaluation of Maragheh’s joining the group of healthy cities of the world will be done in March until this city joins the network of healthy cities of the world next May.

The head of Maragheh School of Medical Sciences also said: In order for Maragheh to join the group of healthy cities, 7 working groups have been formed and more than 300 educational, cultural, health and construction programs and measures have been implemented.

Arjamand added: “Safe and safe city” plans have been implemented by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Municipality, Education, Welfare, Red Crescent, Rahur Police and some executive bodies in order to increase health and safe life.

He said: Maragheh is ranked higher among the candidate cities to join Salem.
