According to Tejarat News, the Islamic Council decided on the tax on luxury houses and empty houses, and from now on, no housing will be taxed.

The Chairman of the Construction Committee of the Majlis announced that according to the new resolution of the Islamic Council, no more houses will be taxed.

The Chairman of the Construction Commission of the Islamic Council emphasized: According to the decision of the Parliament yesterday, no house will be taxed in 1402.

Mohammad Reza Rezaei Kochi, referring to the parliament’s resolution yesterday regarding the exemption of luxury residential units from paying taxes in the next year, said: One of the sources that was expected to be deposited into the National Housing Fund is from the tax collection point for luxury houses. And there were empty houses. So far, we have not received a single rial of income from the collection of taxes from empty houses.

He further stated: About one million empty houses have been identified and the necessary surveillance has been done and the statistics have been given to the tax affairs organization, but so far we have not collected a single rial of tax from them. Luxury houses were supposed to be taxed and its resources transferred to the National Housing Fund, which was removed.

The representative of the people of Jahrom in the Islamic Council stated: Actually, now the National Housing Fund, which should help in the construction of housing, is empty because its resources have not been provided. With the parliament’s decision yesterday, the tax on luxury houses was practically removed. According to this resolution, houses above 20 billion were supposed to be taxed, but now no house is taxed.
