White House: In an interview with Xi Jinping, Biden warned of the consequences of helping Russia
According to IRNA, another part of the White House statement reads: The US President reiterated his support for a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine crisis.

According to IRNA, Reuters quoted the official Chinese media as saying that Chinese President Xi Jinping said in the virtual interview that “conflicts and confrontations are not in anyone’s interest.”
He added: “Peace and security are among the most precious treasures of the international community.”
“Beijing and Washington must move their relationship in the right direction,” the Chinese president told his US counterpart.
CNN wrote that the talks are important for five reasons: First, they are taking place at a critical time in the Russia-Ukraine war, and according to US officials, China is considering military or financial assistance to Russia. According to the United States, Russia has asked Beijing for help, and if China agrees to the aid, its relations with the West will be strained for a long time.
China, on the other hand, can offer a wide range of support to Russia, and Biden hopes to clarify the negative aspects of military or financial assistance to Xi Jinping in his phone call with the Chinese president.
