According to Tejarat News, following the accusation of the managers of car companies, due to hoarding leading to disruption of competition by the National Inspection Agency, car manufacturers promised to complete and market some of the defective cars by the end of the year.
Saipa Automotive Company announced that despite 72,000 defective cars, this number will reach 20,000 by the end of the year.
Irankhodro also promised to have 95,000 defective cars in its parking lots, which will increase to 45,000 by the end of 1400.
Was the problem a lack of parts?
Morteza Mostafavi, an automotive expert, told Tejarat News: “There are several issues regarding defective cars that cannot be easily judged due to the complexity of the car production process.” The first factor is the shortage of parts in the world. Some sensitive car parts that only a few brands in the world produce and that carmakers buy from that brand are in trouble. Therefore, car companies in the world such as Iran, Khodro and Saipa have also had problems in supplying their parts.
He added that the second factor is the problems of sanctions. In some cases, the automaker has bought the parts but cannot import them. Another problem that automakers face is conflicts between automakers and automakers. In some cases, it has been observed that parts manufacturers do not give parts to the automaker behind the curtain with lobbies in order to close the production line. It is very difficult to identify the main cause of defective cars in this case and only someone who is in the process of production can comment.
Continuation of industry political games in the new government
The car expert explained: “Based on the evidence, it seems that the CEOs of car companies will change.” The main reason was the pressure on the minister for defective cars.
He continued: “The political structure governing the automotive industry, which was in the previous government, can also be seen in the new government.” We must keep in mind that replacing the CEO will not solve the problem. These events show that we will not have any growth in the automotive industry.
Referring to the government’s political games in the industry, Mostafavi believes that the Ministry of Silence claims that they have achieved something in the industry only by increasing production in the automobile industry, but in fact no development is taking place.
Production in conditions of shortage of parts
He went on to explain: “Automakers were producing cars when they were short of parts and adding to their defective cars.” There is a public opinion that the increase in production indicates the successful performance of the Minister. Regardless of the existing conditions, the government instructs the car manufacturers to increase production in order to achieve their goals among the representatives.
