Mohammad Mahdi Heidari, head of the Research Center for Roads, Housing and Urban Development, added: The city industry project was formed with the participation of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Ministry of Peace, and its purpose is to provide housing for workers who work in the industry sector.
Emphasizing that the industrial units are willing to invest and provide housing for the working workers in their departments in order to maintain trained human beings, he stated: Currently, in the cities and industrial towns, the majority of the working workers are immigrants, who due to the increase in housing prices In both buying and renting, it is predicted that employed and trained workers will be forced to leave their workplaces due to lack of housing; Therefore, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Ministry of Safety, in cooperation with each other, undertake the provision of housing for the workers in partnership with the industry and automation sector.
He stated that the industry sector will suffer when the trained workforce leaves, and he has defined the challenge ahead of him as follows: Therefore, he intends to deal with this challenge by providing a part of the applicants’ income.
Pointing out that a working group has been formed for this purpose, Heydari stated: In this working group in the research center, with the presence of representatives of the industry sector and the Ministry of Security, it has been decided that the industry sector will provide a part of the income of the applicants of its industrial sectors. Also, after allocating land from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the Ministry of Public Works prepares the land, thus accelerating the construction of housing for workers.
The supervisor of the Housing and Urban Development Research Center, pointing out that the implementation of the workers’ housing plan of about 7,000 units is currently planned in Yazd, Qazvin, and Qom, said: “The next stage will be the implementation of the workers’ housing plan in the provinces of Semnan, Alborz and Central will be implemented.
He clarified: The role of the road, housing and urban development research center is to provide technical knowledge in the field of construction and implementation of systems, and the deputy housing and building administration is in charge.
