Workers’ right to housing was approved – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, the housing allowance for workers subject to the labor law in 1401 was notified by the General Director of Relations and Compensation of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare to the General Departments of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare of the provinces.
According to Khabar Online, this notification states: “With regard to the approval of the Commission on Article 138 of the Constitution dated 20/7/1401, the housing allowance for workers subject to the Labor Law, which will be 6,500,000 Rials per month from the beginning of April 1401 (six million and five hundred thousand rials) has been determined. It was notified to the general departments of cooperation, labor and social welfare of the provinces.
According to this report, on March 19 of last year, the Supreme Labor Council approved the workers’ housing rights of 650,000 tomans, but this resolution needed the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers in order to be implemented, which was sent by the Minister of Labor to the Government Cabinet.
While the labor community was waiting for the approval of the increase in the amount of the housing right, the Council of Ministers changed the decision of the Supreme Labor Council and reduced this amount by 100 thousand tomans, setting this amount at 550 thousand tomans.
But finally, after 7 months of the year and many struggles, the workers’ housing rights of 650 thousand tomans were announced.
