World Freestyle Wrestling Championships | 70 and 97 kg finalists determined / Russian tank waiting for gold


According to a sports reporter of Fars News Agency, the third day of the World Freestyle Wrestling Championships, hosted by Oslo, Norway, was followed by the finalists in the weights of 70 and 97 kg were determined.

Mojtaba Gleej and Erfan Elahi were the two freestyle wrestlers of our country in these weights who went on the mat against their opponents today. He lost to world and Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder in the semi-finals with 3 seconds left in the race and failed to reach the final to try for bronze tomorrow.

Erfan Elahi also lost 8-8 in the quarterfinals to an opponent from Kyrgyzstan, but due to the wrestler’s presence in the final, Elahi got a chance to return to the losers’ table and try for bronze. In the 97kg weight category, Abdul Rashid Sadullayev, known as the Russian tank that won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, will compete for another gold.
