Xiaomi 12 will be officially introduced on January 7 in China

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will introduce its 2022 flagships on December 28th. The Xiaomi 12 Series will likely include a standard model, a Pro model and a mini model. The family will first enter the Chinese market and then the global market in the first quarter of 2022.
In a poster by Xiaomi published, We see the famous Chinese runner “Su Bingtian” wearing a dress with the Xiaomi logo. The poster did not specify how many devices would be unveiled on January 27th, but Xiaomi executives posted posts on the Chinese social network Weibo announcing the presence of at least three new devices at the event.
Xiaomi will be one of the first companies to use the Snapdragon 8 generation 1 chipset with this early event. The Chinese giant has experienced similar situations in the last two years, and even through monopoly contracts with Qualcomm, it has reserved the monopoly on the use of the company’s flagship chip for a limited time.
Xiaomi 12 comes with Snapdragon 8 generation 1
Of course, the 1st generation Snapdragon 8 chipset will probably only be available on the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, and the Xiaomi 12 Mini will use the Snapdragon 870. However, there are still doubts about the registration of the company’s phones and we are not sure that we will see their products with exactly the same names. The Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Ultra are also rumored, but the second model will probably be introduced in the first quarter of 2022.
If we want to speculate about the global release time of this family, we can consider the Mobile World Congress event or MWC as a good place to start the global release. This is in line with what happened last year for the May 11 series. The Chinese unveiled their handsets in December last year, but launched them in global markets in February.
