Xiaomi today unveiled its latest and most powerful flagship for 2023: the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Like its predecessor, the 12S Ultra, this smartphone is equipped with a giant camera, and of course, it also benefits from powerful technical specifications.

Before the official introduction, Xiaomi had published the official images of its new flagship. This smartphone is equipped with a circular camera module on the back panel, and its body also uses a special material that gives a leather-like feel to the user and can kill many bacteria.

The latest Xiaomi flagship is equipped with a giant 6.73-inch AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The brightness of this display reaches 2600 nits, which is a record in the world of smartphones. To protect the screen of the new flagship, Xiaomi has gone for Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The power of this smartphone, like most Android flagships in 2023, is provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chip. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra also comes with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. This phone uses Android 13 and MIUI 14 interface.

The most important part of Xiaomi 13 Ultra is its five-camera, which was developed in cooperation with the German company Leica. Xiaomi says this phone uses lenses called Summicron, which have more freedom in the design of the light path, are smaller in size, manufactured with nanometer precision and provide higher quality. The main sensor of this camera is a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor that supports a variable aperture of f/1.9 to f/4.0 and its resolution is 50 megapixels.

It also has three other 50-megapixel IMX 858 sensors, which are used for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. The ultra-wide lens has a field of view of 122 degrees. The telephoto system actually includes two 50-megapixel sensors, one of which supports 2.5x zoom and the other, which is a periscope type, can zoom up to 5x. The fifth sensor is the type of depth of field detection.

The Chinese giant says their flagship camera is capable of 8K and 14-bit Ultra RAW video recording at all focal lengths. In addition, the company has put a lot of emphasis on the night photography capabilities of this phone.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra gets its energy from a 5000mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The communication port of this device is USB 3.2, the data transfer speed of which reaches 5 Gbit/s. The phone is also IP68 water resistant.

Xiaomi’s powerful flagship will be available in black, white and green colors. The price of this device will be $872 for the 12GB + 256GB model, $945 for the 16GB + 512GB model, and $1060 for the 16GB + 1TB model, but these prices are for the Chinese market. For now, there is no talk about the global release of this product.
