Xiaomi produces cars / produces 300,000 electric cars a year


Chinese government officials have announced that China’s Xiaomi wants to build a factory to produce 300,000 electric vehicles a year, according to Reuters.

The plant is said to be in two phases, and Xiaomi wants to set up a research, sales and head office in Beijing’s Technological and Economic Development Zone next to the plant.

According to government officials, the plant will maximize its production by 2024.

Xiaomi CEO Lee Joon also announced the company’s decision in October. Xiaomi also said in March that it wanted to invest $ 10 billion over 10 years to build electric vehicles.

Xiaomi now has thousands of stores in China and sells its products there. He is expected to use the same stores to supply his cars.

It is said that the process of registering the company and obtaining the license of Xiaomi to build an electric car was completed in August.
