Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Note 12 series phones + specifications and price

The Redmi Note series has long been one of the most popular Xiaomi phones, and the Chinese giant has now finally unveiled its Redmi Note 12 series phones in three standard, Pro and Pro Plus models. In the following, we will review the specifications of these devices.

Specifications and price of Redmi Note 12

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 uses a 6.67-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Full HD+ resolution and 1200 nits brightness. This device is 7.98 mm thick and weighs 188 grams.

Inside, this device is equipped with a Snapdragon 4 generation one chipset. The power of the device is provided by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.

The rectangular and protruding module of the device, which is placed on the back panel of the device, consists of two sensors, which includes a 48-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. The selfie camera of the device is also an 8 megapixel sensor.

Redmi Note 12 5G is available in four configurations. Its basic version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory costs about $165. Other configurations include 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB options, which retail for around $179, $207, and $234, respectively.

Specifications and price of Redmi Note 12 Pro

In terms of design, the new Xiaomi phone has a stylish appearance and its thickness is 7.9 mm and its weight is 187 grams. Redmi Note 12 Pro uses a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 900 nits brightness.

Inside, the device is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 1080 processor paired with 6, 8 or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The battery of the device is also a 5000 mAh unit with 67W fast charging support.

On the back panel of the device we see a rectangular camera module that houses three sensors: the main 50-megapixel IMX766 sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. A 16-megapixel camera is placed on top of the device’s display for selfies and video calls.

In terms of software, the new Xiaomi phone runs the Android 12 operating system.

The basic version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage carries a price tag of around $235. Other configurations of the device include 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB, priced at around $248, $262, and $289, respectively.

The special edition of Redmi Note 12 Pro

Xiaomi has also introduced another version of this device called Discovery, which uses Samsung’s 200 megapixel HPX OIS camera sensor and 4300 mAh battery with 210 W fast charging technology. Xiaomi claims that the battery of this device will be fully charged to 100% in just 9 minutes.

The price of this version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory is approx 332 dollars has been announced

Specifications and price of Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus

Compared to the Note 12 Pro, the Pro Plus version has minor improvements.

This device still uses a 6.67-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Inside, Xiaomi still uses Dimensity 1080 processor, but the device’s 5000 mAh battery supports 120W fast charging technology.

Another change in the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is related to its camera module, which has a main 200-megapixel HPX OIS Samsung sensor (like the Discovery version of the previous phone) and is accompanied by the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro sensors. The selfie camera of the device is still a 16-megapixel sensor.

Other specifications of this device are not different from Redmi Note 12 Pro.

The basic version of Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal space is priced at $289, and another version of it with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal space is sold for $317.
