Xinhua report on the displeasure of the Palestinians about Biden’s visit to the region

According to IRNA’s report on Wednesday, Xinhua News Agency wrote: Joe Biden is going to visit the occupied territories, the Palestinian territories and Saudi Arabia during his first trip to the Middle East region as the President of the United States.
During the past few days, many Palestinian people demanded that the Biden administration fulfill its promise to reopen the US consulate in East Jerusalem and once again allow the opening of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington. These people also want to remove the name of the PLO from the US terrorist list.
At the same time, many Palestinians criticized America’s silence against the tension-causing actions of the Zionist occupiers in the West Bank and East of Jerusalem.
Ramzi Rabah, one of the members of the PLO executive committee, said: “The leadership of Palestine and the self-governing organization must choose alternative options in interaction with Washington.”
He stated that the United States refuses to take any serious measures to prevent the Zionist regime’s tension-causing actions in front of the Palestinians. This should be established.
Rabah added: I think the main spirit of Biden’s trip to the region is to create a kind of coalition to protect the interests of America and confront Iran. At the same time, we Palestinians are disappointed with America’s inaction in breaking the current long deadlock in the Middle East peace process.
Vasil Abu Youssef, another member of the executive committee of the PLO, also said: No positive result can be imagined from Biden’s visit to the region. Meanwhile, America has increased its support for Israel’s actions in confiscating land, destroying homes and expanding Zionist settlements.
He added: The Palestinians have no new expectations from Biden’s visit to the region except for the implementation of America’s commitments, otherwise, this visit will only lead to more support for Israel.
Currently, more than 29 years have passed since the signing of the Oslo Accords between the authorities of the Palestinian Authority and the Zionists with the mediation of the United States, but the conflict between the parties has not yet ended.
Xinhua wrote: Middle East peace talks have been largely stopped since 2014 because Washington refused to abandon its principled policy of supporting Israel and ignoring the rights of the Palestinian people. The Palestinian people hope to establish an independent country with Quds Sharif as its capital and in the form of the borders before the 1967 war.
