According to the Fars news agency of Sourah University, the Faculty of Arts of Sourah University, in cooperation with the performing arts center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and with the efforts of the research assistant of the university, held its first specialized meeting in order to honor the memory of Seyed Shahidan Ahl al-Qalam, Seyed Morteza Avini and observe the Art Week of the Islamic Revolution. held

This meeting with the theme “Islamic Revolution Art Week with a focus on art in Iran’s 60s” was held on April 19, 1402 from 10:00 to 13:00 in the conference hall of the university.

In this meeting, Mohammad Ali Rajabi, Vahid Yaminpour, as well as Abdul Hamid Qadirian were present as speakers and Mehdi Mohammadi as the secretary of the meeting.

What Martyr Avini shows us is the birth of the Islamic Revolution

Referring to the passing of three decades since Seyyed Morteza Avini’s martyrdom, Seyyed Shahidan Ahl al-Qalam, Mohammad Hossein Sa’i, President of Soura University, said: Martyr Avini is a very important person for our generation. He is without a doubt one of the most influential personalities that caused people like Bande to undergo a transformation in the face of his works and determine the purpose of their life.

He continued, with his unique perspective on issues that many people may have thought about, he reveals other dimensions of issues. What Martyr Avini shows us is the birth of the Islamic Revolution.

Kazem Nazari, the head of the Faculty of Arts, emphasized the importance of keeping alive the memory of great people such as Shahid Avini and pointed out the role of art in the structure of self-confidence.

* The most important feature of Islamic art and revolution is God-centeredness

In this meeting, Mohammad Ali Rajabi also addressed the issue of Islamic Revolution art. He also mentioned the high character of Martyr Avini in the art of the 60s and said: The most important feature of the art of the Islamic Revolution is God-centeredness. It should be noted that we do not have anything under the title of Islamic government, but the Islamic Republic is running in Iran.

Rajabi added: The essence of the art of the Islamic Revolution is not a soulless mirror of the Islamic Revolution, nor a colorful but motionless image of the revolution’s slogans, but rather a manifestation of the epic spirit and monotheistic knowledge of the Islamic movement that the Islamic Revolution presented in Iran and the world. With the Islamic revolution, the world has been manifested in Islamic thought and the hardships of divine lights and the holy grace of the eternal painter have been.

He continued: Every particle and every creature of the world’s creatures and every pattern is the manifestation of a name from the divine names, and among the creatures, man is the manifestation of all the names, attributes and selections of the universe. In the light of such thinking, the artist is in the position of a human being who deals with the appearance and truth of things beyond appearances.

The death of modern art

Vahid Yaminpour was another speaker of the meeting who presented his views on the birth of the art of the Islamic Revolution and started his speech by referring to the death of modern art.

He pointed to Hegel’s comments on this and said: There is no future for modernity and the way is closed. The art of the Islamic revolution offers a new way for people. This is why we don’t consider a martyr to be a past person, but a martyr is someone who is present in the future as well. We are connected to the rest of time. Martyr Avini is someone who was able to show this survival and permanence in his language and works.

Yaminpour pointed to the worldview of Seyyed Shahidan Ahl al-Qalam and stated that this thinking and type of view was not the result of superficial learning and simple education, but rather, it is the measure and standard of the artistic works of the Islamic Revolution. We see the spirit of art even in the research and documentary works of Shahid Avini.

At the end, Yaminpour advised the students to pay more attention to the works of Martyr Avini and study its details more carefully because it is full of artistic teachings and meaning.

* The art of the Islamic revolution is the art of becoming enlightened

As the last speaker, Abdul Hamid Qadirian spoke about art becoming enlightened. According to Qadirian, the art of the Islamic Revolution, art has the ability to be enlightened. Art is basically the transformation of concept into form. In this path, there are vessels such as the medium and the artist himself with characteristics such as the artist’s dialect.

He continued: The important and fundamental point is the second container or the artist. The discussion here is about the purity or impurity of the dish. It is possible that the concepts that we are looking for are divine and pure concepts, but in an impure container, they find another characteristic and that concept may be misused. Concepts such as freedom and issues that are discussed today are such issues.

According to Qadirian, the Islamic revolution is a platform for the flourishing of art in Iran, and revolutions as a whole are a factor in changing attitudes and flourishing different aspects of art. Of course, the type of revolution and its purity and impurity are involved in the transmission of concepts. For example, the French Revolution, which emphasized human nature like any other social movement. In the French revolution, issues similar to belief and faith in God are not discussed.

At the end, Qadirian added: Artists start living in revolutions after a while. Of course, in the Islamic revolution, thanks to the vision of its founder, Imam Khomeini (RA), the artist started working from the first days of the revolution.

At the end, Dr. Mehdi Mohammadi concluded the meeting by presenting a summary of all three lectures and thanked the speakers and all the participants in the meeting.
