Yerevan: Baku violates all clauses of the ceasefire agreement
According to the report of Fars International News Agency, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on Monday (March 20) in a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow that Baku has implemented almost all provisions of the tripartite statement of November 9, 2022 signed by the heads of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the cessation of hostilities. In the region of Nagorno-Karabakh, it violates the receipt.
According to TASS news agency, he said in his meeting with Lavrov: “Unfortunately, there is not a single point in the tripartite statement of November 9 that (the Republic of) Azerbaijan has not violated.” Systematic violation of the ceasefire, occupation of the lands of the Republic of Armenia, illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor, keeping Armenian prisoners of war in custody and obstructing the reopening of regional routes.
Mirzoyan further emphasized that Yerevan expects its allies and partners to take active measures to ensure the implementation of the obligations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to stop the use of force.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia stated: “Azerbaijani side, with its continuous movements, disrupts the efforts to establish peace and stable stability in the region.” In this context, I would like to emphasize the need for active steps by the allies and partners of Armenia to ensure the implementation of the obligations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to stop the use of force and threats against international laws.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, while claiming that Baku is preparing to invade Armenia and genocide Armenians living in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, emphasized “launching international mechanisms to prevent genocide, sending a fact-finding mission to Lachin Corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh, and condemning the aggressive actions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” It is necessary”.
In response, the Republic of Azerbaijan asked Armenia to “accept the reality that arose as a result of the 44-day conflict between the two countries and refrain from aggressive actions and malicious policies.”
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan added that Armenia’s claim that the Republic of Azerbaijan is not interested in the peace agreement is another clear example of deception.
Despite the ceasefire, Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan are still in conflict and accuse each other of preparing for aggression.
