Zakharova: Borjam has not lost its importance – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on Friday: “Borjam has not lost its importance and there is no alternative to it.”

“Moscow believes in the fact that the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan (CJAP) on Iran’s nuclear program,” a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. It has not lost its importance and there is no other alternative to it.

Maria Zakharova continued: “This agreement has not lost its importance, by the way, all member states of the UN Security Council, including the United States, are obliged to abide by it.” Regarding some possible options for reviving Borjam, Russia believes that there is no alternative to Borjam.

Zakharova continued: “The United States unilaterally withdrew from the UN Security Council and informed other countries about this move.”

Enrique Mora, the EU’s deputy foreign policy chief and EU envoy to the Vienna talks, announced earlier this day that talks would continue with the aim of lifting sanctions against Tehran.

“The Vienna talks will continue from Monday, December 27,” he wrote in a Twitter message. The Joint Commission will convene a meeting to discuss and determine the way forward. It is important that we accelerate on key issues that remain, and work closely with the United States. Welcome to the eighth round.

However, after the end of the seventh round of the Vienna talks, which led to the inclusion of Iran’s position in the documents that will be the basis of future talks, the Westerners resorted to time-consuming tactics.

In this tactic, they try to downplay Iran’s achievements and put pressure on Tehran by setting a deadline of a few weeks, claiming that the seventh round was accompanied by little progress.

On the other hand, Ali Bagheri, Iran’s chief negotiator, says the next round could be the last round of talks. It is natural for the other side to accept our views; We can reach an agreement in the shortest possible time.
