Zero day in the ambush of Google Chrome not updated!

Cyber experts have warned that not taking care of Google Web Browser could put you at risk for major hacking attacks.

These are all related updates and would be bad news if you did not install them. This week, Google had to make an emergency update to prevent a major bug from being exploited.

But if you do not install updates that fix these bugs, you will lose key protections.

“Updating your Chrome browser not only introduces new features such as privacy and web tracking, but also protects against important security threats,” said cyber expert Mike Warley.

Google’s recent update targets something called “Zero Day.”

Day zero is a newly discovered vulnerability that is considered and actively exploited by known attackers.

Google’s mistake this week was described as “high intensity”.

This also happened to Microsoft Edge users, prompting rival company Microsoft to offer a similar instant update.

This is why it is so important to update your Chrome browser from time to time.

“Not updating Google Chrome can create dangerous vulnerabilities in your browser that could be used by malicious agents as a gateway to your device,” Mike said.

Malicious websites that host exploit kits can identify potential vulnerabilities in connecting clients and then exploit those vulnerabilities for initial access.

From there, an attacker could roam freely on your computer or other devices on your network, collect personal information, emails and bank account details, become infected with malware, or use ransomware to force payment.

An up-to-date browser, while simple, can go a long way in keeping your online security safe.

Unfortunately, we do not know exactly what will happen if you do not update your browser.
