Zionist regime bill to remove and censor on social networks – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Times of Israel, this action has angered the right-wing party of this regime because its members claim that such an action will be used to censor them.

The Israeli Minister of Justice supports the bill, which aims to prevent violence on social media. Yesterday, the first approval of the bill was approved. Now there have to be two stages of voting on it.

In the proposed bill, if law enforcement agencies are convinced that criminal content has been released by publishing content, the judge can order the content publisher (such as Facebook or Tic Tac) to remove the post from his or her website.

The law’s description of sexual offenses in online posts, posts that violate privacy, as well as defamatory posts are examples of criminal content on social media.

In a part of the explanation of the law, it is stated: Recently, we have been faced with the fact that the social networks themselves, due to economic considerations and competition with other networks, consciously cooperate with the violations and damages caused by them in publishing these cases.

Although online harassment is illegal, the new bill gives authorities more power to remove social media posts.

The bill also states that complaints about certain posts on the social network will be registered in the judiciary and will be sent to the district court within 24 hours with the approval of the Attorney General’s Office.

A social network that removes content or blocks a user from a social network must notify the user. This update is described in detail in a written notice explaining the reason for the deletion and includes a reference to the part of the deletion policy that has violated it.

Also, any social network active in the Zionist regime must indicate on its home page that a network is restricted and must publish an email address in order to request information about banned and unfair publications.
