Forming an economy and culture organization for artists on the agenda of the parliament

Gholamreza Montazeri, Deputy Chairman of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in an interview with a parliamentary reporter of Fars News Agency, announced the formation of the Organization of Economy and Culture for Artists.

He said: “Today, our country’s artists have livelihood, insurance and welfare concerns that must be answered positively, so we have a plan on the agenda so that we can respond to all their concerns by forming an organization such as social security for artists.”

The deputy chairman of the cultural commission of the parliament continued: with the help of the research center of the parliament, the initial expert work has been done and now it is on the agenda of the cultural commission.

Montazeri, stating that the government can also send a bill to the parliament under the same title, said: “The concerns of artists are very large and delicate, so all aspects must be observed in passing this law and a comprehensive and complete law must be approved.”

He said: “With the formation of such an organization, artists will no longer have to worry about the future of work and livelihood, as well as insurance.”
