259 tons of expired serum were destroyed

According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, the shipment of 259 tons of expired hospital serum was destroyed this morning in the warehouses of the Tehran Provincial Property Office in the presence of representatives of the supervisory agencies.

Seyyed Abdolmajid Ejtehadi, the director of the Organization for the Collection and Sale of Proprietary Property, stated in this regard: The shipment that is being destroyed was 259 tons of expired hospital serum, which was given to us for destruction in September.

Referring to the details of the arrival of this product, he said: The shipment of hospital serums dates back to 1998, when the corona epidemic was at its peak and hospitals needed these serums. For some reason, the Ministry of Health did not issue a clearance permit for two years, which is also a legal issue. It was not possible to clear customs after the permit was issued, as no less than one-third of its expiration date should be left for clearance. Eventually, these funds were handed over to the Organization for the Collection and Sale of Proprietary Property for destruction. If the rules and regulations were followed and the devices were in harmony with each other, this product would not be deposited and would not be destroyed in the legal way.

The Deputy Minister of Economy referred to the meeting of the Command to Prevent the Deposit of Abandoned Goods at Customs, which was held yesterday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy, and reminded: Do not face the problem of non-initial clearance of goods at customs.

He emphasized: کالا The working group of the Commodity Sediment Reduction Command is tasked with identifying the sediment factors as well as the solutions that will lead to resolving this issue.
