He stated: 98,558 units of blood have been donated by volunteers in Tehran province this spring.

Haji Beigi said: In the first quarter of this year, the index of continuous blood donation was 54%, which has slightly increased compared to the same period last year.

He added: Now the provinces of Semnan with more than 66%, Yazd with more than 63% and Golestan with more than 61% have the highest index of continuous blood donation and at the same time in the provinces of Ilam, North Khorasan and Khuzestan. It has grown more than other provinces, which shows the proper effort to make donors loyal in these provinces.

The spokesperson of the Blood Transfusion Organization continued: In the first three months of this year, the national index of women’s blood donation was more than four percent, with the provinces of Lorestan with an index of nearly 9 percent, North Khorasan with more than seven percent, and South Khorasan with nearly seven percent.
